We entered the #findthediamondkilima challenge, gave our absolute all in to it. Did all the challenges as soon as possible, did the challenges for extra points, in fact I think we were the only couple that entered in to the last day doing absolutely everything we could. We had some of the best content created for our challenges, most likes, views, we really did create a lot of traffic for them. (which we took down as we do not wish to be part of this unreliable disaster) And how did it all end? Well in the end, the final challenge was so unclear that 3 days later, some couples were still unable to find the last clue. However, there were couples that made it through to the next round, without even completing all the tasks, something we were told we had to do before we even entered the final challenge. We found this extremely unfair, and biased. Leading us to doubt the integrity of the creators of this whole event. I mean, it was announced the winners would be decided after an audit, a week later, the teams that made it through were given enough time to catch up on all the tasks, and then announced, we paid careful attention to the point system, so we saw the teams getting in their points after they had already unlocked the last clue. The first 3 to unlock the last clue, were the same 3 that made it through. Pointless “audit” or did they just allow extra time to their favourites? Some found it with help 3 days later, some found it in just over half an hour, suspicious much… Yes I may feel like a sore loser, but I have every right to, the challenge was unfair, there were questionable choices made, and all this has led us to believe, is that Anzel and her team can not be trusted, I would not recommend making use of this page/magazine to plan your wedding, and as for potential vendors, well don’t waste your time and money. So many have been disgruntled that with a page following of around 12500 followers, some posts do not even get a single like, there is no support, all of this has been built with a shaky foundation. Well that’s my review, my two cents, a month and a half later and I still am disgusted in how poorly the competition was run, it left such a bitter taste, we even stopped doing any planning for a while. Good luck to others, I just know many will be horribly disappointed. And know that you don’t have to put much effort in to the challenges, do your bare minimum, and don’t expect much from Wedding and lifestyle hub SA.
