On our arrival at the accommodation staff were very pleasant. It was 35 degrees and very hot. We used the venue to get ready for a wedding and the hosts were aware of that. The Bridal suite were very basic, no fan or aircon and no fan was available. For the price we paid we atleast expected that to be in place. The grass around the property wasn’t cut and it limited us to take proper photos. They were burning trees or wood near the bridal suite that made a terrible smell in the room and all around the property.There was loadshedding and I asked for the generator to be switched on as the hair and makeup artists arrived and after some comments were made they switched it on for a short time and there after cut it. They are using a borehole and water pressure were very low and look showers and baths in freezing cold water. The mother of the groom and bride couldn’t even do hair. The next morning the mother of the bride went to a male staff member on the property and complained about a toilet not working and no hot water coming through in the chalet. The man replied with this exact words pointing his finger in her face “its loadshedding and there is nothing he can do, it is the government she voted for”. We had the buffet breakfast and guests that dished up last had only 1 small glass of juice said they cant give more its finished. For R160 we expected more.
