We were loyal supporters of mugg & bean. We loved the cuppachino. But at Menlyn’s Mugg & Bean in Pta we experienced so much bad, that we never want to be customers at any Mugg & Bean ever again.. Our order was all wrong from beginning to end. My husband got his cuppachino but the waitress forgot to order mine. She blamed it on someone else. We waited forever for everything. It was very quiet and waiters were standing in groups joking, laughing and chit chatting. Our food order took very long in general and when it arrived my food was not what I ordered either. Nobody wanted to take responsibility for the bad service&incorrect orders. One waiter said that is unfortunately the “only” bread available they have to make toasted sandwiches with. I wasn’t informed before ordering, that the bread is finished, because according to the manager, the choices of bread were available. A convenient lie apparently. Like another lie “our biscuits are in the oven at the moment”. The manager was called by another waiter that noticed everything was wrong. The manager was “very sorry” about the poor service, the lies, the unwillingness from waiters to behave responsible, and the neglect that we experienced all along. Since we have already waited too long at that time, we had to eat and leave in a hurry with dissapointment that will remain, and we will not be easily convinced to go back. Damage permanently done. No pride for employees in their work. Like so many franchise retaurants, Mugg&Bean has gone from “tops” to rock bottom in service and food over the years. What a shameful and unnessary story to add to their legacy.
