I booked the Naartjie suite and Family room. The rooms were in the same state as advertised on their website – clean and well prepared. There were no hassles when contacting the guesthouse via phone or WhatsApp with enquiries. Upon arrival, we were well received by the guest house staff. The check in and check out process was also quick and straight forward. Thank you MVGH, and all the best!

We recently stayed at the Mountain view guest house in Pretoria. I am very disappointed with the choice of venue. I chose this venue because it said it is wheelchair friendly and there’s a braai and a swimming pool. After we booked the owner told me that we dont have an en suit and we share a bathroom with the rooms that doesn’t have a bathroom. (We were ok with that) The bathroom also only has a shower. I brought to the ladies attention that my son is in a wheelchair and how are we going to shower him which her repsonse was she doesn’t know because there is a step at the shower. On our arrival we saw that the swimming pool is under construction. My son’s wheelchair didn’t fit into the room we had to move the beds for it to fit. We also had to put a chair from outside in the shower for my son to sit on and shower. There is no handles for the disabled and also no space for the wheelchair in the bathroom. I feel that a place should not advertise they are wheelchair friendly when they clearly are not. You can’t just slap a wheelchair friendly logo on the advertisement and think its wheelchair friendly… I am very disappointed in the chose of venue and advertisement. Definitely not a venue for diabled people or people who wants to swim
