I have to complement this meal while I’m still sitting here, cause it’s that good! I eat sliders almost all the time, and literally everywhere. But, they’re not always something to ride home about. Today’s selection was just impressive. The devil is in the detail: the buns of my order (The Trinity) were soo crisp, yet fresh. A perfect burger bun toast if there ever was one. The chicken was crispy on the outside and well cooked on the inside. The same with the beef one. The flavour was fabulous, it juxtaposed the chicken slider really well with that mustard sauce in the beef one. The bacon in the beef smash was perfectly crispy on the edges adding to the overall crisp notes of the little burger. And with all this, nothing was overcooked or burnt. How do they do that!?!?! The fries were just sublime. Very crispy and fresh on the outside, and delightful in the centre. Eating a simple yet clean, fresh, crisp, and well-balanced meal is so refreshing. We go around spending our monies on subpar food often, I’m so happy about my lunch today. I also became more excited at how on point their whiskey sour was too. If you’re an avid whiskey sour drinker, you may have surely come to notice how some restaurants often get it wrong! Not enough sour, too much ginger, too much syrup, and sometimes it’s too much sour. I’m so glad I took the risk here cause this is one of the few places that hit the spot with acing a whiskey sour like this. The only other place that has aced this, in my lived experience, is Artivist in Braamfontein, Joburg. Every other place sucks! 🤣 But real talk!? Props to the chef in here. Delightful meal. I’m very happy.
