Sadly definitely not 4 star. The balcony door handle was broken, shower head was broken and sprayed everywhere. My husband took a shower then myself and half way through the shower turned cold. Had to use the shampoo provided – it was thin and watered out and smelt like chemicals. I can go on. For sure not worth the money.

We stayed at you wonderful establishment in September 2023 and i want to just mentioned how amazing Maureen was. She is a credit to your hotel and the way she spoke to her colleagues with so much respect, i commend that. I could see that she loved her work and that is not always obvious. Our rooms was very clean and beautifully decorated, more than enough tea, coffee and milk for the thirsty tourists. Maureen even went out of her way organising dinner for us as we were late arrivals. Beautiful breakfast was served and we left well fed! Thank you Maureen we appreciated your kindness and your willingness to go the extra mile. We will be seeing you again next year.

Clean, welcoming and decently sized room with a nice large shower in the bathroom. Only noted issues were the lack of hand soap, shower gel was almost finished and no shower caps were provided. The staff were friendly and helpful nonetheless which contributed to a pleasant stay.

Came in for a 1 night stay over recently. Called in beforehand to ask if we could check in at 10am (check in is usually at 2pm) , and we were accomodated at 10am. ????Staff was very friendly and helpful. Now, on to the venue… If you are looking for a stay that screams “royalty” and “old world charm” then look no further ????. The Duke and Dutchess hotel transports you into a look of opulence from yesteryear. Heavily influenced by palatial and regal themes, you will not be mistaken for thinking you have just stepped back in time into a royal manor. ????. The bedrooms are very generous rooms, immaculate with private, clean, big bathrooms. A well stocked bar fridge with an array of complimentary teas and coffees complete the bedroom. The formal lounge is a beautifully bespoke room boasting all sorts of regal furniture and trinkets. On a cold winters night, next to a roaring fire this room will be magical. The adjoining dining area is well sized comfortable, homely place where one can enjoy one of the many delicious breakfasts on offer. This place was a welcome change from the “cookie cutter” boring, drab bnb’s that are so abundant now. It really does feel like you are in another land. ???? Free high speed wifi throughout the premises. Very safe and secure. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area. Highly recommended ????????.
