I ordered the following and I’ve reviewed them individually:
1. Pap and beef stew – good taste and well cooked through but a few improvements could be made. First skim out excess oil and trim the beef cuts of excess fat.
2. Pap and tlhakwana – good taste and hearty. The only issue was the hairiness of the trotters. Next time try to shave them well and package the meat with cling wrap to avoid spillage.
3. Siza’s special – the toast was a bit chewy which led me to assume the bread was not fresh. The cheese shavings could be melted into the toast rather than being sprinkled around.
4. Bunny chow – very excellent taste however, the spices such as cardamon pods, bay leaves and cinnamon should have been fished out before serving. Chewing into them made the meal a bit unpleasant.
5. Range of Spatlho – I tried different priced spatlho and I was abhit disappointed that the mid range was well prepared than the full house. Also the chips could do with some light seasoning. Yes there were salt packets included.
Overall, good African food, fast preparation, well prepared and very well priced but Siza’s should improve. Thanks!!!
