My wife and I visited the restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Over two weeks before, I called to make a reservation for this esteemed restaurant, unsure if we’d secure a spot. Two days prior to our reservation, I called again to confirm, only to find out it was never made. I made the reservation again, and fortunately, it was successful this time. We arrived at 6, as advised by the person on the phone, and were the second party to arrive. The ambiance was fantastic, and I was eagerly anticipating the culinary experience. My wife and I opted for the 6-course meal without wine pairing since we aren’t fans of wine. Throughout the night, we had to remind the waiter multiple times that we hadn’t ordered the wine pairing. The first dish was unexpectedly spicy, though it wasn’t specified as such. The second, a mushroom dish, was a bit tasteless but improved with salt. The third was a curry mussel dish, very spicy, and it came with a warning. The fourth, a beef tartar, was a personal favorite. The confusion arose with the fifth dish; unsure if it was beef or lamb, we asked the waiter, who informed us it was lamb. However, we received the beef dish after a 30-minute wait. Another 30 minutes passed before we received the correct lamb dish. Dessert was a pleasant surprise, though. We ordered drinks throughout the evening. The first two rounds were fine, but the coffee arrived cold, attributed to the absence of their barista. The next drink, a mojito, was fantastic but took 45 minutes and arrived mostly melted. Despite ordering it again, it never made it to our table. My wife ordered a different cocktail for the fourth round, and I requested a whiskey, which, unfortunately, never arrived despite our inquiries. I must clarify that the food wasn’t bad, but I expected more. The main issue was having to repeatedly request our orders, resulting in significant delays or items not showing up. I’d give the food a 3.5 to maybe a 4, but the service deserves a -4.

We had the 5-course fine dining menu but the food just lacked finesse and taste. It was often a bit cold and unfortunately just not like the fine-dining experience we were prepared for. The meat was however cooked well and the servers very kind and accommodating.
