Vincent Mantsoe Live at UJ Arts Centre: Mpeyane’s Dream

Experience an extraordinary dance work in development as internationally acclaimed choreographer Vincent Sekwati Koko Mantsoe returns to Gauteng as the 2026 UJ Artist in Residence. Extending a thirty-year investigation into spiritual heritage, ritual, and memory, Mpeyane’s Dream / Ipupo merges Mantsoe’s signature KOBA technique with original isiXhosa soundscapes. Arts enthusiasts across Pretoria and Johannesburg are invited into an intimate, reflective theatre experience that examines dreams as a channel for ancestral connection and identity.
