Ultimate Fast Challenge Race 2026

The Ultimate Fast Challenge Race 2026 is heading to Pretoria this August, bringing runners together at Kolonnade Retail Park for a morning of 5km and 10km road racing.

Proudly brought to you by Athletics Gauteng North and organised by Nexa Athletics Club, the race is capped at 1,000 entries, making it a local challenge for runners looking to test themselves on the road.

Choose Your Distance

The race offers both 5km and 10km distances, giving participants the option to choose a route that suits their fitness level and goals. The 10km race has a minimum participant age of 14, while athletes will be placed into age categories according to their age on race day and the applicable Athletics South Africa rules.

Participants in the 10km race must have their 2026 ASA licence numbers displayed on the front and back of their vests. Unlicensed 10km athletes will need to purchase a temporary licence.

Race Day Information

The Ultimate Fast Challenge Race starts at 07:00, with the 10km and 5km races taking place at Kolonnade Retail Park in Montana.

Race-day entries are available at the venue from 04:00 to 06:45, while manual entries can be made at Run-Away-Sport during the week. Race number collection takes place at the main entrance of Pick n Pay next to Capitec at Kolonnade Retail Park on Friday, 28 August from 09:00 to 18:00, as well as on race morning from 04:00 to 06:45.

Each athlete will receive a race bib with an attached timing chip, allowing results to be recorded and made available after the race.

What to Expect on the Route

Refreshment points will be available at 3km intervals along the route, with dustbins provided at the water points. Medical support and Tog Bag facilities will also be available on race day.

The 10km race has a two-hour cut-off time, and participants are expected to follow the instructions of marshals and traffic officials throughout the race.

The event also welcomes club gazebos, making it an opportunity for local running clubs and their members to come together on race day.
