Lentedag 2026

Spring in Pretoria would not be complete without Lentedag. The long-running student festival returns to the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens for its 24th edition, bringing thousands of festivalgoers together for a full day of live music, DJ sets, dancing, food, and unmistakable student energy.

This year’s festival spreads the action across five stages, with a line-up of more than 40 artists. Headliners include Jeremy Loops, Van Pletzen, Focalistic, and Shekhinah, joined by Chunda Munki, Dwson, Kyle Cassim, Droomsindroom, Die Piesangskille, ONS, the Saxby Twins, Austin Cassim, Skelm, Lee McKrazy, Avi Subban, Trancemicsoul, and many more.

Beyond the music, visitors can expect colourful décor, games, brand activations, food vendors, several drinks stations, and a sprawling 100-metre main bar. The festival is not limited to university students, but admission is strictly restricted to guests aged 18 and older.

Festivalgoers must bring an original identity document, driving licence, passport, or unabridged birth certificate. Photocopies and certified copies will not be accepted. Outside food and drinks, cooler boxes, gazebos, animals, weapons, fireworks, and open fires are prohibited.

Parking is available at the venue for R50 per vehicle, although ride-hailing or the Lentedag Express is recommended. The R20 bus pass provides unlimited return trips between Prospect Street in Hatfield and the festival throughout the day.
