Cinemania with the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra

Lights, camera, orchestra! Cinemania brings the soundtracks of the silver screen to the ZK Matthews Great Hall for an immersive evening of live music and cinematic projections. Conducted by Eddie Clayton, the Pretoria Symphony Orchestra will perform themes from beloved classics and modern blockbusters while scenes from the films appear on screen.

The programme travels through the worlds of The Lord of the Rings, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Game of Thrones, Batman, The Avengers, Formula 1, and The Mission. Vocalists Zita Pretorius and Monde Msutwana will join the orchestra, with music from Les Misérables, Disney favourites, memorable movie villains, and other cinematic highlights also on the bill.

Movie-inspired costumes are encouraged, so guests are welcome to arrive dressed as superheroes, wizards, princesses, Jedi knights, pirates, or racing legends. The concert is suitable for all ages, and 50% of its profits will be donated to the Hamba Nawe Project, which supports children receiving palliative care and their families.
