The Race of Gratitude Returns
The fourth iteration of this acclaimed event is proudly hosted by Centurion Mall in collaboration with Market Wa Pitori. It received recognition in the silver categories of public relations and digital marketing at the 2022 and 2024 South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC) Footprint Marketing Awards.
A Community Celebration
The goal of the Race of Gratitude is to unite the community via a common social experience. Tenant involvement and cooperation with non-profit organizations (NPOs) that focus on skill development and community improvement are encouraged by this program. It provides a fun and interactive way for shoppers and tenants to connect in an outdoor setting. The fact that the 21.1-kilometer course is an official race prior to the Comrades Marathon, which tests fitness, adds to the excitement. For serious runners hoping to become the renowned marathon athlete, this race is essential.
The Official NPO: Skosana Development Running
The official NPO for the race this year is Skosana Running Group Development. Skosana Development, which is committed to empowering and uplift young people, works with Development Clubs to find and develop young running talent throughout Pretoria, supporting the Danville Club, Soshanguve Club, and Siyahlala Club.
Choose Your Challenge
There are three race options available to participants: 5km, 10km, and 21.1km. Just a short distance from the race, athletes, spectators, and families can spend a fun-filled day at Centurion Mall and check out the family market at Market Wa Pitori. There are admission fees.
