A few years ago a friend and I looked at 4 red wooden letters that, when put together, spelt L.O.V.E.
They were separate from each other so that you could arrange it the way you creatively felt inspired to. We both had different ideas of how to arrange these letters on the shelf and it became clear that everyone had a special way of "spelling" LOVE. Although it is the same 4 letters, you have the freedom to express it, read it, and interpret it in your own way.
Love forms an integral part of our being and constitutes of a variety of things. The love of God (Agape), the love between a man and a woman (Eros), the love of our friends, family and our neighbors (Phileo), the love of our planet, the love of our country, and for some, the most important of them all, the love of sport.

I catch myself staring at, what may look to you as only a watch. In fact, to you, this is just a watch. To me, however, it symbolises an excruciating amount of heartache, treasured memories and roars of laughter. You see, on my wrist I carry someone else's watch. I forced him to offer it to me as a gift, and he did. (To the previous owner of this watch, I know this isn't exactly the truth, but it makes for a good story) |
