Lucit restaurant is one of those superb hidden gems in the city! Instead of travelling to your closest mall for “just a meal”, set aside a moment to escape to pure serenity; it is nestled into a forest-like garden, with soothing water features creating a peaceful moment. Over twenty years ago Gideon van Eeden saw the potential of the house, built in 1908. Still boasting with its original structure and aesthetic elements, such as intricate mosaic tiling and a Herbert Evans fireplace, he transformed the place into an art noveau haven with extra features such as decorated steel ceilings and lead glass doors. This year the Laughing Chefs could not resist the potential of this magnificent place and jumped in to give it a fresh new breath of life.
